Mrs. Turner also served as Assistant General Counsel for the Florida Department of Health, Prosecution Services Unit, where she reviewed administrative complaints against medical professionals regarding medical malfeasance, malpractice and South Florida “pill mill” cases. In 2010, Mrs. Turner participated in the successful prosecution and termination of the medical license of the largest controlled substance provider in the United States. Where the evidence supported administrative prosecution, she pursued those cases vigorously seeking sanctions ranging from administrative reprimands to termination of medical licenses.
